When you have worked so hard to build your home or your business, you want to protect your property and your possessions from flooding with the best products and experience on the market.
The Floodsafe Projects team is dedicated to protecting our customers from the devastating damage that flooding can cause. Find out more about us…
With nearly 25 years experience in civil engineering, drainage and flood defence contracts, I’m passionate about stopping water from getting into properties where it triggers terrible damage and distress.
My focus is on designing and delivering the best flood protection systems to suit the risk, the budget and the requirements of each of my customers. That’s why Floodsafe Projects is independent of every other flood protection company in the UK. And why I get involved with every property we protect.
I have advised, designed, installed or maintained flood protection barriers on more than 600 residential and commercial properties. I take personal responsibility for the effectiveness of every solution I deliver.
My work has included numerous PLP schemes in which flood protection solutions have ensured the integrity of properties from Scotland to the South Coast and from West Wales to Whitby and the East Coast. I have also delivered bespoke solutions for clients at risk from tidal, sewer, coastal and overland flooding to ensure the security of their homes and communities and the continuity of their businesses. We work with homes and businesses in the Lancashire and Cumbria areas, so if you’ve been affected by flooding please get in touch.
We work with an expert team of flood mitigation installers, joiners, builders and drainage professionals.
We tailor our team to our customers’ needs, drawing on their knowledge and experience to make sure that your home or business are safe should the water try to get in.
Upon receipt of an initial enquiry our priority is to visit the site to meet the property owner and all the relevant parties involved in solving the flood problem. During our visit we complete a full survey that includes an analysis of the cause of the flooding, its severity and its frequency. We find out everything there is to know about the last flooding event, the point of entry to the premises and the effects as a result.
Based on the findings of our survey and our knowledge of what our client’s requirements and budget are, we either propose the solution that will prevent loss and damage from flooding in the future, or provide a series of options for our client to choose from. All our designs comply with existing industry standards and legislation. As we are independent, we can consider all possible methods and products across the entire flood protection sector. We are also not limited to fitting products to a property – if drainage or landscaping works are more suitable to reduce the initial risk, that is what we will propose.
We project manage the installation from the minute the order is confirmed to us leaving the site. We work with our clients to agree a schedule of work and we maintain regular communication with all parties concerned. We respect our clients’ and local residents’ circumstances by working professionally, efficiently and neatly. Everyone in our team works hard to minimise any disruption. Following completion and client inspection, we provide a handover pack detailing operating and maintenance instructions if required. All our customers receive a full demonstration of how the defence system works before we leave site.
Wherever possible we will test the flood defence system in the presence of our customer, as well as discuss the necessary storage and re-use of the flood defence products we have installed. Some simple yet important maintenance duties are required by the property owner on a regular basis to ensure the product or system continues to work as it is designed to. An ongoing annual maintenance package is available on request.
